  • Self-Reflection

  • Job & Career Changes

  • Job Search Strategy

  • Career Advancement

  • Accountability

I was interviewing for 3 different jobs, all somewhat similar but each having its own idiosyncrasies. Sean helped me think about what I wanted to highlight in each process and trained me on why it was essential to focus on certain parts of my story at different points in each process. Through a few mock interviews with Sean, we crafted my story, and I was able to articulate the most important factors clearly and concisely. Sean’s detail-oriented style and genuine interest helped me receive multiple job offers and negotiate a favorable compensation package!

Coaching with Sean

Forging your path. Career coaching does not look the same for any two people. It is important to understand your current mindset, past experiences, motivations, and wishes.

For example:

  • You may desire to remain on your current path and optimize your next step.

  • You may feel disappointed on your current path and wish to identify options.

  • You may be out of work and need help finding your next role.

Forging accountability. Accountability is the biggest barrier to navigating career mobility, job transitions, and available resources. Coaching relationships hinge on both the coach and the client remaining accountable to the plan.

Depending on your needs, we can experiment with any or all of the following:

  • Using sessions as dedicated practice, accountability, or work time.

  • Assigning “homework” to be completed between sessions.

  • Communicating reminders between sessions (for regular, on-going clients).

  • Creating career coaching groups (depending on client demand).

Forging ahead. With a defined path and accountability established, it is time to execute. This is the most tactical stage of career and leadership coaching.

Topics may include:

  • Finding jobs & networking

  • Updating resumes, cover letters, and LinkedIn profiles

  • Conducting mock interviews

  • Evaluating and negotiating job offers

  • Planning goals for your current role

  • Asking for a promotion
